Jennifer Carsen is a mom, child care marketing specialist, writer, and recovering employment law attorney. Her company, Childcare of Choice, specializes in marketing for child care centers.
She founded Childcare of Choice because she’s passionate about helping child care professionals build strong, thriving businesses – it’s such important work, and she knows first-hand that excellent child care is a special thing indeed!
Jennifer is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and a former style editor for the Journal of Literacy Research. She is delighted to have been a presenter at both the Quality Conference for Early Childhood Leaders and Fran Simon’s Early Childhood Investigations webinar series.
An accomplished writer, Jennifer is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, as well as the author of HR How-to: Employee Retention. She was recently named a “Top 25 Online Influencer in Employment Law” by HR Examiner.
Jennifer has been quoted as an employment law expert in the Chicago Tribune, and her writing has appeared in Child Care Exchange Magazine, New Hampshire Magazine, and various Business & Legal Resources publications.
She is an alum of Williams College and the NYU School of Law, as well as a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association. She lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with her husband, Eric, and their children, Lorelei and Nicholas. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, walking, and eating – though generally not all at once.
